Here comes Peter Cottontail…
The elves are back in the North Pole after a very busy Christmas season for some much needed R &R. I want to say thanks to all of you that did come and see us. We were met with an overwhelming show of support for Sandy Creek and made many new friends of the farm. So many were happy to see the doors open again this Christmas season and we heard happy tales of tree cutting family traditions (both new and old). It is with that same spirit we have turned to Peter Rabbit and asked for help from Flopsy, Mopsy and the rest of the Cottontail gang to get Spring up and running!!! (The elves were simply too pooped, but if the truth be told I believe they are gallivanting on a sandy beach somewhere in the Caribbean.) Starting in April we will have egg hunts, pictures with the Easter Bunny and a gift shop full of fun treats and items for everyone. Stay tuned for dates and times.
What else is in store for the spring? Vincentown Florist and Garden Center has been busy this winter filling their greenhouses, growing and nurturing beautiful plants for your house and gardens. As luck would have it, the owners are my brother, Tim and his wife Christie. Tim and his team will be at Sandy Creek to help with recommendations and helpful tips. If your thumb is not so green we will point you in the right direction. They have amazing hanging baskets and planters!!!!
As for the house, well, its coming along slowly. I know many of you were so happy to hear that we are restoring it. Most of the windows are in and we are waiting for warmer temperatures to do some of the masonry work. It’s going to be work in progress like any great masterpiece. I will be posting more pictures soon.
Our heads are full of ideas for this farm. The possibilities are endless; we have been brainstorming how to make it all come alive. This winter Tim has been busy trimming the apple trees and preparing the ground for the next group of Christmas trees to be planted. I have been busy working on another project for sometime in the future. Its a lot of work but its fun work! We hope to see you this spring so make sure stop by to say hi and check out what is happening at Sandy Creek!!!
Good luck.
